Not five —
But you are losing already.
Sorry darling,
But
Twilight and optimism
Spot springtime in even just
These few extra minutes
Of day.

After an hour in Target–
Mind buzzing–
The cold parking lot air slices through me, and
A low sun bursts through my brain.
I look up and find
I am not alone.
